Bingo Book Brief - where a letter and number act as anchors for the narrative.
Beginning with simply the letter B and the number 4 as the basis for a narrative was somewhat of a challenge, to decide upon an aspect of these alphanumeric characters to focus on seemed daunting, but once I got going I found my flow. With the creation of the character Bill and his aspiration for his own teeth, the idea to create a teething-style book was born. From there the idea expanded into making a teething set. I used Sublimation printing to transfer the imagery onto polar fleece to create the individual pages of the book before sewing and stuffing them with wadding. The test prints from the process were repurposed to create parts of the fabric teething cubes along with faux leather to add different textures. Porcelain models of teeth were made to be representative of gel teething stones and to represent the teeth from the narrative.
