Illustrator // Printmaker // Ceramicist

About

Direct yet conceptual.

Provocative and engaging.

Design & illustration for brands, publications, and people.

Ceramicist and illustrator by trade, Hannah McInally’s practice exists in a shifting state, fluctuating between art and design, often bouncing back and forth between the traditional and non-traditional. Through an instinctive approach to making and thematic exploration their work aims to inspire visual engagement and interaction with the audience, whilst still being highly emotive.
And sometimes, they paint chickens.

Born and raised in Scotland. Hannah’s background is specialised in Illustration, with an undergraduate degree and a Masters in the discipline. During their undergraduate studies they undertook a semester abroad at the Alberta University of the Arts, where they diversified their creative practice and expanded outwards into ceramic sculpture and design. They have been broad reaching in the methods of production they have pursued. Leading to projects in the realm of printmaking, ceramics, books, soft sculpture and more.
